Catechesis of the Good Shepherd – Preschool Children ages 4 to 6 years old.
Atrium Sessions: Sundays 10:45am – Noon (during the 11:00am Mass) for Preschoolers; Wednesdays 12:30pm – 2:00p.m. for Preschoolers; and Tuesdays 4:00pm – 5:15pm for Kindergartners.

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS)is a Montessori-based faith formation program for children ages 4 – 6. This hands-on program, in a specially prepared environment called the “Atrium,” nurtures and educates the whole child in the ways of the Catholic faith. It expands the understanding of Scripture and Liturgy with the use of many sensory materials including the infancy narrative figures, a raised surface map of the land of Israel, a model altar, and a model-size baptismal font, to name a few. This concrete method of presenting the Faith is similar to the way the Church teaches us through the sacraments, holy water, incense, and statues.

Kindergarten through 5th Grade – Class held Sundays (see above calendar) from 9:30a.m. to 10:45a.m. The Sunday morning Religious Education Program meets every Sunday except on Holidays. Curriculum for this program includes the Christ Our Life Series in book format.

Middle School – Grades 6th, 7th & 8thIm.P.A.C.T. for Teens Program – Class held Sunday evenings, twice a month, (see calendar) from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.

Im.P.A.C.T. for Teens is a newly developed program for junior high schoolers in the parish which synthesizes large group community building activities using music, drama, prayer, and testimonies, with a Catechetical book curriculum through the “Christ Our Life” series from Loyola Press.
